The Gospel Doctrine lesson #8 manual objective is “To help class members understand their need for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and to teach them how to receive all the blessings of the Atonement.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #9 manual objective is “To inspire class members to read the prophecies of Isaiah and to help them understand how these prophecies apply in their lives.”

Not the divorced twenty-year old. Not the young mother in forced labor, permanently separated from her home. Not the high school dropout, or the homemaker who never got a college degree. The Gospel Doctrine lesson #12 manual objective is “To help class members feel a greater desire to magnify their callings, be chaste, and invite others to come unto Christ.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #13 manual objective is “to help class members better understand Zenos’s allegory of the olive trees and how it applies in our day.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #14 manual objective is “To emphasize that the scriptures have been prepared and preserved to guide and direct us.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #15 manual objective is “To increase class members’ understanding of their indebtedness to God and to encourage them to ‘[put] off the natural man … through the atonement of Christ the Lord’ (Mosiah 3:19).”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #16 manual objective is “To encourage class members to seek and maintain the ‘mighty change’ of heart that comes through exercising faith in Jesus Christ.”

The Gospel Doctrine Lesson 19 objective is: “To encourage class members to renew their determination to honor their baptismal covenants and trust in the Lord.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson #20 manual objective is “to inspire class members to continually apply the principle of repentance, become converted, and share the gospel.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson 21 manual objective is “to help class members understand righteous principles of government and avoid priestcraft and pride.”

The Gospel Doctrine lesson 22 manual objective is “to help class members understand what it means to experience a change of heart and continue in the process of conversion.”
